cmyk_55mmVolunteers are such an integral part of the Mankato Marathon and we would like to thank everyone who has helped in the past and our volunteer sponsor, MTU Onsite Energy.

All volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt, gloves and snacks.

For information about general volunteering, please call Joelle at 507-385-6679 or email jbaumann@visitmankatomn.com.

For information about our Medical Team please contact Mark at mark.griffith@scmnems.org or Gail at norris.gail@mayo.edu.

We need riders for the 2016 Mankato Marathon medical support team! Riders will circulate between aid stations, watching for runners in distress and offering aid as needed. A medical background is helpful, although not necessary. If you can recognize if a runner is in distress, you can help! Course assignments will be based on your riding strengths. For information about the bike support team please contact Joe at 507-351-3404 or email bikenjoe@hickorytech.net or Randy Knutson at 507-382-0452 or email randy@knutsoncasey.com.

Make a Difference: Volunteer

“I helped a guy who was cramping up by mile 17. He was in a lot of pain and honestly I didn’t think he’d finish. I gave him some of my water and rode next to him as he walked to the next water/medical station and chatted with him. Later I saw him at the finish line! I was so happy he made it, I ran over and high-fived him. He told me he wouldn’t have kept going if I didn’t help him.’”
– Kate Hansen, 2014 bike support crew

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who helped make the 2016 Mankato Marathon such a success!  We couldn’t have done it without you!
