Scheels and New Balance Sport & Health Expo
12:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Myers Field House on the Minnesota State University, Mankato Campus

  • Packet pick-up for pre-registered runners. All runners are encouraged to pick-up at the expo.
  • Registration for KidsK from 12 to 2 p.m. if race is still open
  • Registration for 5K from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. if race is still open
  • Registration for 10K, Relay, Half Marathon and Marathon from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. if races are still open. No registration on race day.
  • Meet with exhibitors, test products and purchase merchandise

4:00 pm start at MSU-M Campus Parking Lot 21 on the corner of Warren and Stadium. The starting line is the same used for the marathon.The real party begins in Mankato – After the Post Race Festivities stick around and enjoy the Greater Mankato nightlife with a variety of restaurants and pubs to choose from. You’ll find an abundance of live music, trivia and other entertainment.
12 to 2 p.m. Packet pick-up and registration at the Scheels and New Balance Sport & Health Expo – only if the race is not full.
2:15 p.m. All participants at starting line
2:30 p.m. Race begins for kids ages 7 to 12
2:45 p.m. Race begins for kids ages 6 and under
12 to 3:30 p.m. Packet pick-up and registration at the Scheels and New Balance Sport & Health Expo – only if race is not full

6:15 – 7:05 a.m. Bus transport from the parking lot across from US Bank on the corner of Second and Hickory Street to Minnesota State University, Mankato parking lots along Stadium Road. Buses do not return to the start.
6:10 – 7:15 a.m. Packet pick-up at Minnesota State Mankato Parking Lots. Please pick up at expo if possible. No race day registration.
7:30 a.m. 10K Race Start. Separate START LINE from Marathon, Half and Relay
8:00 a.m. Marathon, Relay Marathon and Half Marathon start at the same time at the same START LINE
8:30 a.m. Post Race festivities begin in front of the Verizon Wireless Center in the heart of downtown Mankato.
9:30 a.m. 10K Awards Ceremony
11:15 a.m. Half Marathon Awards Ceremony
1:00 p.m. Marathon and Relay Marathon Awards Ceremony
2:15 p.m. Official timing for race concludes.
3:30 p.m. Post Race Festivities conclude. See you next year.

The Scheels and New Balance Sport & Health Expo is home base for all pre-marathon action including packet pick-up, shopping, expo booths, the Kidz Zone and The Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic Speaker Series. There will be a wide variety of exhibitors and vendors ranging from sporting goods to specialty items. There are also sports organizations and services providers who can offer varying services to athletes.

Volunteer Sign Up

Nearly 1,000 volunteers are needed for the 2013 Mankato Marathon to make the weekend run smoothly for our runners. There are many ways to volunteer including course marshal, bicycle medical support and race bag stuffing.

The Mankato Marathon races take place on the weekend of October 19 and 20, 2013. Projected fourth year attendance is 5,000 runners.
