My Bold Walk Added to Mankato Marathon

6.22.16  MANKATO

The Mankato Marathon is introducing a new event in 2016 for people who typically cannot participate in the many great walks, runs or races offered in our community because of a chronic disease or disability. My Bold Walk is a 0.6-mile course presented jointly by the Department of Human Performance at Minnesota State University, Mankato and Mayo Clinic Health System.

Mankato Marathon gets better each year

MANKATO — The Mankato Marathon has come a long way in just three years. In the inaugural event in 2010, about 2,000 runners participated. This year more than 4,500 runners participated and the number of races has grown — with even toddlers getting in on the fun in the Diaper Dash. With more runners and events come more visitors and fans, bringing a boost to the local economy.
