Mankato Marathon 2013 Charity Program
In 2013, the Mankato Marathon is striving to give back to the community that has so generously supported our races. This year three charities including Girls on the Run, BackPack Food Program and Project for Teens have been chosen. In addition to having champion runners raising pledges, the three programs have potential to raise additional dollars through registrations. Registrants will be able to elect to donate to any or all of the programs when they register for a Mankato Marathon race.

Nearly 1,000 volunteers are needed for the 2013 Mankato Marathon to make the weekend run smoothly for our runners. There are many ways to volunteer including course marshal, bicycle medical support and race bag stuffing.
The Mankato Marathon races take place on the weekend of October 19 and 20, 2013. Projected fourth year attendance is 5,000 runners.

Training from Start to Finish Line
It’s well known that training for a marathon involves more than just a pair of good running shoes and determination. A successful training program takes into account the entire runner – mind, body and soul. As an added benefit to our runners, the Mankato Marathon has worked with experts in each of these areas to create a well rounded training section. Go>
